This MNC is an international provider of instruments, and spectra of products and solutions used in advanced manufacturing in semiconductor, solar, defense, food, medical and other industries.
Position Overview:
We are seeking an exceptional Global Supplier Manager with expertise in negotiation and supplier relationship management. The ideal candidate will have a strong desire to learn and grow within our innovative company. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a collaborative international environment, navigating multiple technologies, systems, processes, organisations, sites, cultures, and practices to support a robust category strategy.
Responsibilities:
- Co-develop, maintain, and execute category strategies for the assigned supplier portfolio.
- Understand the full business relations of suppliers, including market position, strategy, investment themes, capacities, and capabilities, and provide key stakeholders with information and guidance for decision-making.
- Manage the contract management process for managed suppliers, including initiation, preparation, review, negotiation, execution, monitoring, and updates.
- Lead assessments of managed suppliers and coordinate cross-functional teams to conduct them.
- Manage supplier performance through scorecards, quarterly and annual performance reviews, and business reviews.
- Establish performance targets aligned with business demand and category plans, focusing on quality, delivery, and cost objectives.
- Identify opportunities to create sustainable value beyond incremental performance improvement.
- Lead negotiation processes with detailed preparation, execution, and follow-through, engaging appropriate stakeholders.
- Provide oversight and monitoring of projects executed with managed suppliers.
- Support sourcing activities and new supplier introductions.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Science, preferably in Mechanical Engineering, Supply Chain, or equivalent experience.
- Experience in supply chain management for commodities such as machining, sheet metal, welding & fabrication, mechanical equipment, raw material, or special processes.
- Supplier management experience in a diverse and fast-growing environment.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills to influence and cooperate cross-functionally with internal teams and suppliers.
- Knowledge of supplier management processes, including communication plans, supplier assessment, contract management, performance review, and development plans.
- Flexibility to travel up to 30% of the time.
- Proficiency in efficiency tools and business systems such as Oracle, SAP, Priority, MS Office, Power BI, MySQL, etc.
- Big Plus if you have experience with Six Sigma, Kaizen or Lean
